Michigan public health agencies and entities include:

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS)

MHDSS staff work closely with local public health agencies to provide, coordinate and assess a wide range of statewide public health services and activities. Key services directly relate to protecting Michigan’s food supply include: epidemiological investigations, laboratory testing, and public health emergency response capacity development.

Michigan Association of Local Public Health (MALPH)

MALPH is the recognized liaison between Michigan’s 45 local public health jurisdictions, the Michigan Legislature, and state of Michigan departments and organizations. MALPH forums and committees provide policy and technical input on a range of public health topics including food safety.
